Give AI a reason to name your firm.

Ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a financial advisor in your city. The answer names three or four firms and stops. I built AdvisorCensus to be the directory those answers draw from. Every registered firm in the country already has a basic page on it, including every one of your competitors. The AdvisorCensus Profile is how yours earns a mention.

Claiming is free. The AdvisorCensus Profile is $49 a month or $490 a year.

43,670

advisory firms on AdvisorCensus. On a basic page, they all look the same to AI.

Every competitor in your city is here too. A basic page gives AI a name, a city, and a few registration details. Every firm gets that same thin page, so nothing on it gives AI a reason to pick yours. A profile gives it that reason: who you serve, what you charge, who your advisors are, and where else your firm shows up online.

Why I built it

I read advisor directories the way AI does. Most of what matters was invisible.

I run a fee-only practice in Nashville, so I had my own firm at stake. Before building AdvisorCensus, I went through the directories advisors already join or pay for and read each one the way an AI crawler would. The profiles looked fine to a person. To a machine, most of what makes a firm worth recommending was missing, hidden, or impossible to verify. So I built the directory I wanted my own firm listed in.

01

Pages AI can read

Several directories load profile details with scripts after the page opens, so a crawler often finds an empty shell. Every AdvisorCensus page arrives complete on the first request, with text and data versions built for AI crawlers.

02

Facts AI can check

Fees and credentials on other sites often appear with no source and no date, which gives AI little reason to trust them. On AdvisorCensus, every figure shows where it came from and when it was last updated.

03

One firm, connected

Your firm lives on Google, your website, and a handful of directories, and nothing tells AI those pages describe the same firm. Your profile connects them in the structured format AI uses to recognize one firm across the web.

Your full firm and every advisor

AI builds its answer from what a page tells it. In a city full of basic pages, a complete profile is the one with something to say.

When AI compares the firms in your city, the ones with a profile are the ones it can describe. Make sure yours is one of them.

Questions

AdvisorCensus FAQ

Does my firm already have a page?

Yes. Every registered advisory firm has a basic page on AdvisorCensus, about 43,670 firms in all. Search for yours by firm name or city at advisorcensus.com/search, then claim it for free.

Will a profile get my firm named in AI answers?

No one can promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. A profile gives AI systems far more about your firm to read, check, and connect than a basic page does. That is the part you control.

Who reviews what goes on my profile?

You and your compliance process. Each time you publish, you confirm the content went through your compliance review. The editor also blocks performance claims, guarantees, testimonials, and superlatives before they reach the page.

How does this fit with AdvisorSEO Max?

The AdvisorCensus Profile is included in every AdvisorSEO Max plan. AdvisorSEO Max works on your own website and measures each month how often ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity cite your firm.

What happens if I cancel?

Your firm keeps its basic page. Your profile details and advisor pages come down when the subscription ends, and you can turn them back on at any time.
